Q-PLUS ™ - Listeria monocytogenes Detection Kit
Overview
Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) is a ubiquitous foodborne pathogen that can cause a severe invasive infection in human and animals called listeriosis. Lm can adapt, survive, and even grow over a wide range of food production environmental stress conditions such as low temperatures, low and high pH, and high salt concentration. Detecting Lm is imperative for ensuring food safety, given its potential to contaminate various food items, including dairy products, meat, fish, and chilled processed foods.
Q-PLUS™- Listeria monocytogenes Detection Kit provides a fast, sensitive, and reliable method for the detection of Lm based on qPCR using specific FAM-labeled probes. This kit allows the molecular detection of pathogenic microorganism in previously enriched samples, significantly reducing the time required for the established microbiological diagnostic process. The kit also includes an Internal Positive Control (ROX probe) for monitoring PCR inhibition and false negative results. Negative Control is used to check the absence of contamination.
Features
- Fast and reliable detection of Listeria monocytogenes.
- Optimal performance on a wide range of food matrices.
- Highest sensitivity: high priming efficiency and 1-10 cells per 25 g food sample (5×102 fg genomic DNA) can be detected with 100% specificity.
- 100% inclusivity and 100% exclusivity in tested strains.
For Research Use Only (RUO).
