Q-PLUS ™ - Campylobacter jejuni Detection Kit
Overview
Campylobacter jejuni is a Gram-negative bacterium that remains a leading cause of bacterial gastroenteritis worldwide. It is commonly associated with foodborne illnesses, and infection with C. jejuni can result in symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramping, fever, and nausea. While the infection is typically self-limiting, severe cases can occur, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and immunocompromised individuals.
Q-PLUS™- Campylobacter jejuni Detection Kit is an excellent tool for a rapid and highly sensitive detection of C. jejuni. It allows molecular detection of pathogenic C. jejuni in samples that have been previously enriched, reducing the time required for the well-established microbiological diagnostic process. Q-PLUS™- Campylobacter jejuni Detection Kit is based on Taqman® probes signaling after the amplification of a specific C. jejuni target (FAM probe). Additionally, the kit includes an Internal Positive Control (ROX probe) to monitor PCR inhibition and prevent false negative results. The Negative Control is used to confirm the absence of contamination.
Features
- Fast and reliable detection of C. jejuni.
